NEWPELGROUP acquires Danish group pension marketing company

NEWPELGROUP provides sophisticated private client solutions to the wealth management industry.

Luxembourg – NEWPELGROUP announces the acquisition of a 66.67% stake in Your Pension Management A/S, a company that markets group pension solutions to Danish clients. This transaction adds both a new distribution channel and a new product category to NEWPELGROUP’s portfolio and hence represents an important strategic step.

NEWPELGROUP is currently active in the Danish saving market offering investment solutions to affluent and high net worth individuals through private banks and investment advisers. Your Pension Management, which cooperates with some 70% of all major Danish group pension brokers, extends the Group’s product range into the pension and retirement income markets, by partnering with intermediaries that sell group pension solutions to employers.

Once approved by the Danish authorities, the first Pan-European pension fund, which is
domiciled in Luxembourg, will be marketed by Your Pension Management in Denmark. Until now employees have only been able to transfer pension savings within the same country, but new EU regulation means employees from all over Europe will be able to transfer their pension savings cross-border to the innovative fund.

NEWPELGROUP will inject capital into Your Pension Management to fund the creation and marketing of the first cross border pension company active in the Danish market. The current management of Your Pension Management will remain in place.
