The shares in NPG Wealth Management S.à.r.l are held by two shareholders: 85% by J.C. Flowers and 15% by Delta Lloyd Netherlands.
J.C. Flowers is a leading specialist private equity investor in the global financial services industry with over 10 billion USD in committed investment funds. The company was founded in 2001 by J. Christopher Flowers, a former partner at Goldman Sachs. J.C. Flowers is based in New York, but its European activities are managed from London. In November 2006, J.C. Flowers laid the foundations for the Group by acquiring what is now known as Private Estate Life S.A. J.C. Flowers’ holding in NPG is through its J.C. Flowers I LP Fund.
The Delta Lloyd Group is a Dutch insurer with operations in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. The group is the sixth-largest insurer in the Netherlands, with a local market share of around 8%. Delta Lloyd is majority owned by Aviva, the fifth-largest insurance company in the world and the number one in the UK. It is one of the largest providers of life and pension products in Europe and has a presence in 25 countries worldwide. The company is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a member of the FTSE 100 Index. Delta Lloyd took a 15% equity stake in NPG Wealth Management S.à.r.l in November 2008 in return for selling the insurer Commercial Union International Life to NPG Wealth Management.
